Saturday, July 4th - UMP DIRTcar Summer Nationals presented by the Missouri/Illinois Dodge Dealers! $10,000 to win UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models, $800 to win UMP DIRTcar Modifieds and $400 to win UMP DIRTcar Sportsman. Admission is $25 with kids 12 years old and younger FREE! Pit admission is $35. Gates open at 4pm with qualifying at 6:30pm and racing at 7pm.
Manufactured racing type mufflers are required on all racecars at I-55 Raceway! If you do not have mufflers, you will NOT race!
I-55 Raceway wants to remind everyone that you must be at least 16 years old to drive a racecar at I-55 Raceway!

Pevely, MO (June 27, 2009) Mark Voigt of Marine, Illinois claimed his second UMP Super Late Model victory of the 2009 racing season at I-55 Raceway. Voigt took the lead at the drop of the green flag from the front row pole starting spot as he beat outside front row starter Craig Smith into the first turn. Rickey Frankel moved past Smith and Ed Dixon on the opening lap to take over the second spot and gave chase to Voigt. Frankel could get to within a couple of car lengths of Voigt, but couldn't make a serious bid for the lead. Voigt went on to win with Frankel taking second. Tim Manville moved past Dixon and Smith to take over the third spot. Tim Ratajczyk would get the fourth position with Dixon rounding out the top five.

Pevely, MO (June 13, 2009) Bryan Collins of Elsberry, MO claimed his first UMP Super Late Model victory of the 2009 racing season at I-55 Raceway. Collins started on the pole and led all twenty-five laps of the main event as he held off the challenges of Dave Jumper in the opening laps and then held off Ken Schrader in the closing laps to earn the victory. Billy Moyer, Jr. made it a three-way battle up front near the end as he battled with Schrader and Collins in the closing laps as well. Jeff Beyers charged through the field to a fourth place finishing after starting twenty-second because of mechanical problems that didn't allow to start his heat race. Dave Jumper rounded out the top five.

Pevely, MO (June 6, 2009) Mark Voigt of Marine, Illinois brought home the victory in the UMP Super Late Model division. Billy Laycock, also from Marine, Illinois took the lead from the front row pole starting spot and proceeded to lead the first ninteen laps of the main event with Voigt on his rear bumper the entire time. Voigt began working the middle groove and raced Laycock side-by-side for a couple of laps before finally completing the pass. Laycock would finish second. Tim Ratajczyk had a strong run as he finished in the third position. Jeff Johns would take the fourth spot as he held off the challenges of Bryan Collins who took fifth.

Pevely, MO (May 30, 2009) Randy Korte of Highland, Illinois claimed the $5,000 to win Northern Allstar Late Model Series Tri-Track Challenge event at I-55 Raceway. It was Korte's fourth win of the 2009 racing season at I-55 Raceway in the Super Late Model division. Korte also has a win in the UMP Modified division this season at I-55 Raceway.

Pevely, MO (May 23, 2009) Randy Korte of Highland, Illinois claimed his third UMP Super Late Model victory of the 2009 season at I-55 Raceway. Pole sitter Craig Smith took the lead at the drop of the green flag and fought off a barrage of challenges for the first fifteen laps. Billy Faust rocketed to the front from his eighth starting spot to challenge Smith at lap seven, but after taking the lead briefly, Faust began to fade back. Korte then moved in to challenge Smith and the two raced side-by-side for a couple of laps before Korte took over the top spot for good. A few laps later, Smith's bad luck at I-55 Raceway continued as his right rear tire went flat while running second. That turned over the second spot to Ed Dixon who mounted a challenge on Korte in the closing laps, but he would come up short and settle for a second place finish. Billy Laycock would take third with Tim Ratajczyk finishing fourth and Tim Manville completed the top five.

Pevely, MO (May 20, 2009) I-55 Raceway is set for another week of great racing action on Saturday, May 23rd as a full show featuring UMP DIRTcar Super Late Models, UMP DIRTcar Modifieds, UMP DIRTcar/AARA Sportsman and UMP DIRTcar/AARA Pro 4 Stocks. Also, this Saturday, I-55 Raceway will host Vintage Car racing sanctioned by the Gateway Vintage Racing Association.
